An event is an occurrence that has importance to project users and that can impact completion of project work.
You can create an event, such as a project meeting, in your calendar. Events can occur once, or they can occur in intervals of days, weeks, or months.

To create an event:
Perform one of the following:
From the application view, click the Calendar tab. Click
New Event.
From the application view, click the Calendar tab. Right-click
in the calendar and click
Project
Event.
From the Calendar portlet, click
New Event.
From the Calendar portlet, right-click in
the calendar and click
Project
Event.
Configure the properties of the event in the Event Editor. For more information, see Event Properties.
Optional. Configure the security settings for the event in the Event Editor. For more information, see Object Security.
Click Finish.
To edit an event:
Perform one of the following:
From the application view, click the Calendar tab. Right-click an event and
click
Edit Event.
From the Calendar portlet, right-click an
event and click
Edit
Event.
Configure the properties of the event in the Event Editor. For more information, see Event Properties.
Optional. Configure the security settings for the event in the Event Editor. For more information, see Object Security.
Click Finish.
